Meet the leadership team at PartsAvatar
Sherdeep Singh, PhD (CEO)
Sherdeep is a scientist turned serial-entrepreneur. Prior to PartsAvatar, he co-founded Fort Knox Research Capital, a multi-million dollar algorithmic trading platform. An IIT Kanpur alumnus, Sherdeep finished his PhD from McMaster University on pattern formation in nanoscale chaotic systems (yes, that’s a thing) in record time.
He agrees with Mark Zuckerberg’s philosophy of ‘moving fast and breaking things’. The only difference is that he believes in repairing what he ends up breaking. His love for technology is matched only by his love for gardening.
Anuroop Sharma (CTO)
Anuroop was diagnosed with lowest tolerance for BS and poor quality code. Prior to starting PartsAvatar, he solved hard problems at Amazon, Citi Bank, and co-founded Fort Knox Research Capital with Sherdeep (the guy who’s our CEO and a PhD in nanoscale chaotic systems). He studied Math and Computing at IIT Delhi and then Masters in Computer Science at McMaster University, Canada.
He loves hiking across Canada when he’s not coding (although he does take his computer along).
Prateek Jain (COO)
Prateek is the coolest head in our office. He has done MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. Prateek was a trader for over a decade on Wall Street and couldn’t wait to get his hands dirty in real world problems. At Parts Avatar, he runs marketing, data analytics, fraud prevention, and customer service.
He has advised and invested in multiple startups, and loves to talk about scaling businesses. He is an avid biker, and is learning to play keyboard along with his son.
Akshat Verma (India Head)
Prior to PartsAvatar, Akshat co-founded a fintech startup named Musk (No cookies for guessing he’s an Elon Musk fan) and worked on Electric Vehicles at a Petronas company. Post college at IIT Kharagpur, he started his career at Housing.com. In Akshat’s opinion, there are way too many smart people trying to put dents in the universe by selling more. Through PartsAvatar, his ambition is to repair a few such dents.
He's an anthropology professor in a parallel universe. He likes to splurge on his Luna Sandals and Books.
